The thinking still comes first.
Copywriter & transcreator. Four languages, one obsession: ideas that land — in any market, in any tongue, with or without a machine in the room.
Anyone can translate a sentence. The hard part is moving an idea across a border and keeping it alive — the joke still funny, the promise still true, the line still worth stealing. That’s the job. The machine is a brilliant intern; it drafts, it speeds, it never decides. The thinking still comes first — and it’s mine.
Selected work
Three ideas that had to cross a border.
A brand, a language, a culture — and one line that had to survive all three. Here’s the thinking behind three of them.
What I do
Five things, one skill underneath.
C1
Copywriting
Lines, headlines, long copy, endlines. The stuff a brand gets remembered for — or forgotten despite.
C2
Transcreation
Taking an idea across FR, EN, ES, DE and making it feel born there. Not translated. Native.
C3
Concept & Scripts
The idea before the words: film, OLV, activation, social. If it needs a thought first, this is where it starts.
C4
VO Direction
Casting the voice, directing the read, protecting the intent in the booth. The last mile where copy lives or dies.
C5
AI-augmented Creative
AI specs, generative TVCs, authored AI film. I direct the machine; the machine doesn’t direct me.
About
The short version.
I write in four languages and think in the space between them. That’s where the interesting problems live — the pun that only works in Spanish, the promise that reads as a threat in German, the tone a French headline needs that its English twin never asked for. I’ve spent years inside international agencies — R/GA, McCann, DDB, Amplify, DUDE — moving ideas from one market to the next without letting them go flat in transit. Lately I’ve been teaching machines to help without letting them take the wheel. The tools change every six months. The job doesn’t: have the idea, then find the exact words for it — in whichever language the idea has to live.
